Zelensky adviser says Ukrainians have died due to US intelligence sharing limits
A key adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has told the BBC that Ukrainians have lost their lives because Kyiv is still not getting dependable warnings from the United States about incoming Russian missile attacks.
Serhii Beskrestnov, known as Flash, said the situation was dangerous and very serious, explaining that without enough advance notice of ballistic missile strikes, civilians have not had sufficient time to reach shelter, and that people have already died as a result.
He also said that restrictions affecting Ukraine's access to the Starlink internet network remain in place.
The White House has stated that there has been no change to its intelligence-sharing arrangements with Ukraine.
Ukraine first raised concerns about a disruption to US intelligence sharing last week, amid worsening relations with the Trump administration over a disputed agreement involving Ukraine's import of Russian oil.
Despite Washington's denials, many officials in Kyiv believe the timing of the intelligence issues is unlikely to be coincidental.
On Monday morning, Zelensky posted on social media that the capital had been hit by two ballistic missile attacks overnight, with one occurring without any warning and the other giving residents only a very short time to take shelter.
